Boujie Is:

a State of Mind ●  Ability to Allure  ●  Lust for All Things Luxe  ●  a Lifestyle

Suzanne Kopulos is the  brainchild behind Boujie Baby Couture. The brand’s birth materialized by news of a pregnant sister and best friend due weeks apart. Suzanne scoured the aisles of posh boutiques for the perfect accessory to her new nieces, the everyday diaper bag. She came up empty handed. Not a single bag represented the magnetic style that her closest friends’ possessed, so she took matters into her own hands and Boujie Baby Couture was born!

Inspired by the birth of her vivacious niece Basilia, the Chicago native launched her first line of limited edition couture diaper bags, the Chic Collection, in late 2006. With a vision to bridge the gap between maternity and the everyday handbag, Suzanne launched the Street Chic Collection that proved to be the beginning of the evolution of her unique brand. 2009 marks the introduction of the Prima Collection, a trio of lush leather handbags for women, a daring integration of before, during and after “when life happens”; most appropriately designated as gear for the glamorous. These fashionable and practical handbags are a huge hit with a long list of Tinseltown regulars.

A self-taught designer, Suzanne earned her degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, followed by a Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.  Studying in her backyard of Miami Beach, Suzanne developed the creative ideas behind the brand. Upon returning to her hometown Chicago, she opted to leave her legal pad in the drawer and follow her passion for fashion! Boujie Baby Couture has been featured on MSNBC’s The Big Idea, TV Guide Network’s The Fashion Team, ABC and NBC fashion segments, AlphaMom TV, Celebrity Baby Blog, Chicago Social Magazine, Cool Mom Picks, Daily Candy Kids, as well as TimeOut Chicago.
